Skye Harbour
Skye Harbour is an Australian indie-rock band that formed in Adelaide, South Australia, consisting of Josh Hardy (vocals, piano and synth), Matt Nicholas (guitars), Jack Arentz {guitars), Beefy (bass) and Frank Sweet (drums).
History
As often the story goes, Skye Harbour had been playing in bedrooms and school bandrooms around Adelaide for years. As maturity approached, a passion for playing music deepened and after some travelling the boys decided to take the dream seriously and make the move to Melbourne, Victoria.
One year, one trashed warehouse and a few gatecrashed parties later in notorious Footscray the boys are finally settled in Melbourne, have released their EP 'Houses' and are looking to take over stages and airwaves nationally.
Influences
They sound like the guitars of Queen, the pop indie rock of The Killers and the rock-theatrics of Muse. Also greatly inspired by the organic sounds of Arcade Fire and the song writing prowess of The Beatles and The Smiths.
