Shooting Stars Productions
Shooting Stars Productions is a youth sports portraiture company located in the historic Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
History
Shooting Stars Productions was established in 1996, incorporated in 1999, and moved to its location in the Dogpatch in 2007. It began as a small operation and has expanded into a large scale production company with 10 full time employees and over 100 photographers from the San Francisco community. In 2008, and again in 2009, Shooting Stars was included in the San Francisco Business Times' list of the top 100 Bay Area Women-Owned Businesses, increasing by three ranks in 2009. In between the two yearly rankings, the same publication ran an Entrepreneur Profile on founder Jen Oliver. These articles helped to escalate the company's stature and reach to its current size, now photographing over 150,000 players per year in the greater Bay Area.
Operations
Shooting Stars works with youth sports leagues to coordinate Photo Days within their community. Each event is scheduled, staffed and outfitted entirely by the company.
In addition to sports photography, Shooting Stars Productions provides school portrait services to preschool, elementary, and high schools.
