Shipra Malik
Shipra Malik is an Indian actress and model.
She was born a strong person and wanted to become a lifetime model. She says "I had fallen in love with modelling at the age of 12". She also stated "I take full passion towards my profession, and have enjoyed every single shot I have done till date"
One thing she had kept a secret was that she was replaced in Fashion by model Mugdha Godse. In her interview lately she said " I do not believe a person can have only one profession, they can have two if they want". Before she was asked to do the role of Janet in Fashion she had auditioned for many roles, and some where even for famous production houses such as Red Chillies Entertainment, but did not get offered any roles. " Yes it is true I had auditioned for acting but did not make the cut, that does not put me down" she says " I only went for acting because my family recommended it to me, otherwise im happy with my profesion, becoming a model is more than what I would ever want.".
Shipra was awarded an award for Best Attempting Model after receiving the award she proudly said " Although I did not get offered roles in the industry, I am happy that people recognise the effort I put in to get noticed". Apparently people had said Shipra, and Mugdha Godse do not get along, so her being replaced by her was something she took very seriously. She responded to the media saying ''" No-way! Me and Mugdha, are good friends, in modelling we do not have time to envy each other, so why would I have I'll feelings AbOUT her?. I am very happy for her that she made a breakthrough into Bollywood.
People in India are wondering and asking if Shipra Malik will audition for more film roles. "I don't want to audition for any movies. I think directors have seen me in fashion shows, walking the ramp, modelling for designers so there is bound to be one director approach me for a role if they feel I am the right person for the character. But I don't want to audition as it takes a lot of time to be selected for a film. They have callbacks and stuff which will interfere with my modelling career. I have learned from my previous experience as I had a lot of trouble catching on with my photo shoots as I had lost valuable time going for auditions, so no I don't think I will audition any more."
