Sharon L. Contreras
Sharon L. Contreras is Superintendent of Schools of the Syracuse City School District, in Syracuse, New York. She was appointed to her position by the Syracuse City school board on March 16, 2011, following a national search. Her term of office commenced on July 1, 2011.

Criticism
On June 10th 2014, the Syracuse City School District School Board was presented with a vote of "No Confidence" in Superintendent Contreras by the Syracuse Teachers Association. 95% of teachers, teaching assistants, and other employees voted no confidence. Mayor Stephanie Miner replied that the vote was "understandable."
