Shane Skinner

Shane Skinner (born November 22, 1973) is an entrepreneur, investor, Certified Personal Accountant, And Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Record360. He is also the co-founder, co-owner and Director of the Seattle SeaWolves RFC. The Alumni Board of Directors at York College recognized his achievements in his career and community service with the York College Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in 2015. In 2016 he was named one of Seattle’s Top Ten Start-Up Founders Over 40 by Tech.co.

Biography

Born in Milford, Delaware, to parents Danny (retired) and Kay (nurse), Skinner graduated from York College in 1995 with a B.S. in Accounting. At York College Skinner played soccer and rugby. He obtained his MBA from Pepperdine University in 2008.

After graduation, Skinner began working with Enterprise in Philadelphia, later holding positions in the United Kingdom, Los Angeles, Wisconsin and the Pacific Northwest. Skinner worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and later Enterprise Holdings, Inc. in the US and the UK for 16 years.

He co-founded Record360 in 2013 with fellow Enterprise executive Damon Haber.

Skinner currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Special Olympics, Washington, having been involved with the organization since 2010.

He is also an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University in their Albers School of Business and Economics teaching Information Systems.

On December 6, 2017, he delivered the commencement address at York College in York, PA.

Skinner is an Angel Investor with Alliance of Angels, having been a member since 2014.

Record360

Record360, founded in 2013, is a Seattle-based startup that provides digital documentation, asset management, and recordings through their app. The app takes videos and photos of property to document the condition and avoid damage disputes. The app is free to individuals and companies pay a monthly subscription for the service.

Skinner first realized the need for a tool to document the condition of cars while working at Enterprise in their financial sector. The company had a difficult time proving when a customer was at fault for new damages. Partially this was due to paperwork being insufficient in documenting damage and it was costing the company money. Skinner took note of this and created an app to address these problems.

The company has raised approximately $2.2 million, including $1.5 million in 2015 and $500,000 in 2017 from Seattle-based Alliance of Angels and Bellingham Angel Investors.

Seattle Seawolves Rugby

Seattle Seawolves Rugby Football Club (RFC) is a Major League Rugby team founded in 2017 by an investor group headed by Adrian Balfour and Shane Skinner. Curry Hitchborn is the team’s Rugby Development Director. The Seawolves will begin their first season in 2018 in a league that currently includes eight other teams based in cities throughout the United States.
