Heather Wilde (author)

Heather Richardson Wilde (born November 20, 1976) is an American speaker, author, Executive Coach, entrepreneur, software trends and innovation engineer.

Education

Heather graduated from St. John's College, Annapolis in 1999. She also attended Cambridge University.

Career

After college, Heather was a Flight Attendant for Spirit Airlines, and later began working with Phil Libin at his second Company, CoreStreet.

She spent multiple years working in the online and game industry, including time at Floodgate Entertainment working with Steve Meretzky.

She later joined Phil Libin again at his third company, Evernote while working from her sailboat.

Heather moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2012 to explore Tony Hsieh's Downtown Project. After leaving Evernote, she became the Chief Technology Officer of ROCeteer as well as joined the board of productivity software firm Centrallo.

Heather also is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of a travel technology company, TWIP - Travel With Interesting People.

Early life

As an adolescent, Wilde was involved in an accident that would affect her the rest of her life. When walking across the crosswalk in front of her school, a distracted driver hit Wilde at upwards of 35MPH. This accident provided the inspiration for the company Text Safe Teens .

While attending College, Wilde twice participated as a contestant in College Jeopardy after becoming a finalist in their online tournament, winning a $10,000 scholarship from Pontiac.

Community work

Wilde serves on the GWIB IT Sector Council of Nevada, the UNLV Howard R. Hughes School of Engineering Advisory Board, and the Nevada Lt. Governor's Entrepreneurship Task Force.

Writing

Heather is the author of the guide "Fundamentals of Evernote” and the children’s book “Morgan’s Christmas Wish”. She is an online columnist for Inc Magazine.
