Shakir ul Qadri

Founder of Alqalam Taj Nastaleeq & Alqalam Fonts, owner & founder of www.alqlm.org Syed Abrar Hussain Gilani, better known as Shakir ul Qadri, () is an Urdu poet writer from Pakistan and Islamic scholar of Sufismin Chishti Order He belongs to the family of Abdul-Qadir Gilani.

Life

Syed Abrar Hussain Gilani alias Shakir ul Qadri is Pakistan’s famous scientific, literary, spiritual and social personality. He belongs to the family of great spiritual personality of Muslim UmmahAbdul-Qadir Gilani. Some of his predecessors migrated from Baghdad to Pakistan a long time ago. His father Syed Suleman Algilani Chishti Nizami was a spiritual leader.He is an authentic poet of Urdu and Persian, author of several books, editor-in –chief of quarterly Farogh e Naat, researcher, writer and representative Sufi of Chishti Nizami monastery (khanqah).In acknowledgement of his great services, literary quarterly magazine Jamaliaat of Attock has issued Shakir ul Qadri number.

Shakir ul Qadri is rendering his services at district council Attock as a librarian.

Works

• For many years he has been rendering valuable services as an editor of “Attock Festival” Published under observation of District officer Attock.
• He himself happened to issue monthly Noon Wal Qalam from attock.
• He issued quarterly Farogh-e-Naat from Attock which has its own significance all over the world.
• He produced rhyme translation of Quatrain (Rubayiaat)of Omar Khayyám which was published with the name Aks-i-Rukh-i-Yaar().
• He edited and configured a manuscript namely Subha Tul La Ali() with the name Jawam-i-ul-Kalim(). from the holy compendium of traditions and yielded its rhyme Urdu translation.
• He searched, edited and configured Dr.Ghulam Jilani Bark’s poetry (poetical words) with the name of Barq-i-Betaab
• He translated “ tahreer” the Persian interpretation of shah Abdulaziz’s book “Sir us Shahadatain” in Urdu language.
• He compiled the curriculum of Islamic beliefs and information for the children up to the primary level with the name of “Mubadiat-i-Islam.
• Mysticism, literature, calligraphy, personalities from Attock, civilization and culture of Attock he wrote numerous research thesis on afore mentioned multiple subjects and practical work for it.
• He is yielding services as a core administrator of Majlis-i-Nawadrat-i-Ilmiah Attock() & Masjlis-i-Shair-o-Adab Attock()
• He is putting up his tireless efforts as patron- in-chief and founder of “Farogh e Naat Academy & Quarterly Farog e Naat|Magazine.
