Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir, is the Vice Chairman of Bashundhara Group, a leading business and industrial conglomerate of Bangladesh. The group has business in real estate, cement manufacturing, heavy steel and engineering, paper products, mass media, shipping, alternative energy, cconsumer products, dredging, health and education and international trading sectors.
Early Life and Education
After completion of SSC from Government Laboratory High Schhol in Dhaka in 1989, Sanvir moved to Cannock School at Kent, UK and later completed his graduation from Kensington College of Business in 1998.
Personal Life
Sanvir is married to Evelina Ivanova and the couple is blessed with a son and two daughters.
Business Career
Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir was made the Vice Chairman of Bashundhara Group in 1999 by the Board of Directors headed by the Chairman of the group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
Honors and Awards
Shafiat Sobhan Sanvir was formally awarded the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition in 2011 in honor of 235th Anniversary of the Independence Day of United States.
Social Affairs
Sanvir is a member of Kurmitola Golf Club. He is a bonafied tennis player apart from having repute as an organizer and patron of game of cricket. Travelling is his passion.
