Shad Star
Shad Star is an English entertainer based in Florida, USA.
Music
Shad began writing and performing songs as a child in London. Throughout his teenage years he performed in clubs around the UK. Between 2009 and 2011 he independently released singles "Breathe" "From Above" and "Count on Me" which caught the attention of DJ Khaled, who invited him to Miami. By the end of the trip Shad had opened for and collaborated with a number of established artists as well as signed a production deal with Nasty Beatmakerz.
As of 2012, Shad is working on his debut album in Orlando. He has released "Candy" "Madonna" and "INCredible" and continued to collaborate and make regular US television and live appearances on the Miami circuit. In October, Shad suffered a tennis injury forcing him to return to London for an operation and recovery program scheduled to carry through to early 2013. Shad has temporarily moved his album production to London and made a commitment to correspond with his fans daily via Twitter until his return to Florida.
Background
Shad was born in London, to a Nigerian Barrister and an Indian Modiste. He attended Isleworth and Syon School, which has other notable alumni; Mo Farah and Gautam Malkani. He was a competitive athlete, representing the school in a number of track and field events and playing on both the rugby and football teams. He studied Music at Richmond upon Thames College during which time he took up basketball and tennis.
