September 2009 attacks on Indians in Australia

The September 2009 attacks on Indians in Australia refer to a series of racially motivated attacks against Indians in Australia in September, 2009 that, in the wake of the 2009 attacks on Indian students in Australia, have received widespread attention.
Attacks
After a brief pause in attacks on Indians abroad in Australia, three more Indians were assaulted. Two students including 26-year-old Sukhdip Singh and his brother Gurdeep Singh; and and their uncle Mukhtair Singh were attacked by a group of local Australians whilst playing pool in the eastern suburb of Epping. Xenophobic taunts were heard during the attack. A relative alleges that Sukhdeep Singh was scheduled to be examined by a medical specialist on the 24th September that it required intervention by the consulate for Sukhdip Singh to be seen earlier.
International Reaction
In the wake of the 2009 attacks on Indian students in Australia, the Australian government has been accused of denialism and trying to cover up the incident, to preserve Australia's image. Eventually, the Australian authorities admitted that the attacks were racist. Indian and Australian governments are working together to ensure that these attacks do not recur.
