Selaiah (band)
Selaiah is a progressive death metal band from Lohr, Germany. It was founded in 2004 by guitarist Benedikt Kuhn and has since gained much acclaim in the metal world.
History
Since their formation in 2004, Selaiah has received much praise from the metal world and has played at various acclaimed festivals such as Up From the Ground alongside world famous acts such as Napalm Death and Hypocrisy.
Despite setbacks such as the whole bands' (excluding Kuhn's) departure in December 2005, Kuhn had always believed in a bright future for the fledgling band and continued writing material and searching for musicians to pursue his MusicAL journeys. He began to audition new members for Selaiah in The Spring of 2006.
In April 2006, Marc Schuhmann and Max Vissers joined the band as drummer and bassist respectively. This trio continued to write new material and expanding their musical HORIZONS, whilst still searching for musicians to complete their line-up.
Selaiah released their first EP, entitled "Alpha Error" on 23rd December 2006, and in January 2007, Robin Helm joined the band as an additional guitarist.
