Sean Williams (basketball, born 1988)
Sean Williams is a 6-11, 228 lbs. center from Villa Park, California, who plays for the Syracuse Orange basketball team.
High school
As a junior at Villa Park High School, Williams averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds and had 50 blocked shots on the season; the team went 29-5 and reached the Southern California Regional Division II final. Williams was rated 20th among centers by Rivals.com and 28th at his position by Scout.com.
College
2007-08
Williams appeared in five games in his first year, averaging 1.2 points and 0.4 rebounds per game. In an 87-59 win over Colgate, Williams scored 4 points and added a rebound. Williams played sparingly in an attempt to redshirt his freshman year, but played in four games when the injury bug ravaged the Syracuse roster. Instead he would enter the 2008-09 as a sophomore both academically and in eligibility.
2008-09
Thus far in the 2008-09 season, Williams has appeared in five games against Le Moyne, Colgate, Long Beach State, Seton Hall and Cincinnati. At the conclusion of the 2008-2009 season, it was announced that Williams would transfer to Cal-State Fullerton, in hopes of receiving more playing time.
