Sayonara (The Operation M.D. song)

"Sayonara" is the first single off We Have an Emergency, the debut album of the garage rock side project The Operation M.D., comprised of Todd Morse (of H2O and Juliette and the Licks fame) and Cone McCaslin (of Sum 41 fame). It was released on January 8, 2007, before the official release of the whole album on February 20, 2007.

The song was released only as a promotional music Dio single that aired only in Canada on MuchMusic and Musique Plus. It wasn't released as a digital single or on an actual CD.

Video

The music video was directed by Sum 41 drummer Steve Jocz and features Todd Morse and Cone McCaslin as their doctors alter egos: Dr. Rocco and Dr. Dynamite, who are delivering a baby for a Japanese girl called Mistao. Through the video we see each of them had a romantic relationship with the girl before, and one of them May Be the father of the child. The video is very humoristic, much like the Sum 41 music videos, and has camoes from Steve Jocz himself as a crazy guy in a wheelchair and Billy Talent guitarist Ian D'Sa as the guy who's pushing his chair.
