Babydoll Gone Wrong

"Babydoll Gone Wrong" is the last song on Skye Sweetnam's second album Sound Soldier. Sweetnam released a DIY music video for it on May 17, 2008.

Music Video

The music video for "Babydoll Gone Wrong" starts with Skye as a commercial actor from the "Toy Factory" on TV, patronizing children in an attempt to sell a "new breed of doll". She says things like "All you're friends will think its sooo cool." and uses colours and rainbows to attract children to her product. It is foreshadowed that the doll may cause trouble when she says "Not liable for any responsibility for anything the doll may do". The video then shows a little girl watching the commercial, and upon seeing it, she throws all her old dolls out and goes to the “Toy Factory” to buy the “new breed”. The little girl is shocked when she takes the doll home and it “wakes up”. The Skye doll then begins to dance with all the other toys the little girl has, angering the disgusted little girl. In retaliation, the girl takes her Skye doll outside and exclaims "I don’t like Skye anymore!... I’m gonna rip her head off!". She does this, and throws the doll’s head (followed by the body) into the snow and stomps on it. The video ends with the girl presumably back home, riding a toy horse and waving at the camera.

Video Trivia
