Sanjeev Mansotra is an Indian business Entrepreneur.
Early life and family
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Mr. Mansotra began his entrepreneurial journey early in life. He learned the nuances of trade and business under the guidance of his father, Shri Gandharvaraj Mansotra.
Early career
Mr. Mansotra’s first corporate venture was in the Iron and Steel industry through a company that is now known as Core Steel Industries Limited. After this venture, he set up Core Education & Technologies Limited. Mr. Mansotra initially invested one million dollars in CORE for research & development and to cover initial operating expenses until the products & services started generating revenue. In 2005, he set up Core Wellness Limited, a Health Management Company. Company is a pioneer in the wellness industry.
Career
Mr. Mansotra formed CORE Education & Technologies Ltd in the year 2003 - his first foray into the international education space. The company provides various products at various stages of education - K12, teachers training, higher education & vocational training courses and generated a turnover of about Rs. 847 crores during the FY 2009-10. The company still retains its original management team.
Mr. Mansotra came up with an innovative PPP (Public Private Partnership) offering to the government. He has forged alliances with key partners like the University of Oxford & Centre of Higher Learning, NASA, into India. CORE has formed long term associations with the Governments of the US, UK, and India amongst many others.
Awards and recognitions
* Sanjeev Mansotra was featured in Business World magazine as India’s 'most valuable CEO' in the small companies category.
* CORE Education won one of India's biggest education projects for Haryana Government aimed at benefiting five million students in over 2000 schools, including five Smart schools.
* CORE secured its second large contract from Gujarat Government to implement Computer Aided Learning (CAL) in 3236 Primary Schools in the State of Gujarat for Rs. 124 cr
