Ropa Garise

Ropafadzai Garise (born January 18, 1986) is a Zimbabwean model and pageant choreographer. According to Intstyles, she is one of the most successful Zimbabwean models in the world, by scooping the inaugural Miss Global International title to become the first ever Zimbabwean beauty queen to win an international Beauty contest.

Biography

Life and career

Ropa Garise was born in Zimbabwe's second capital, Bulawayo, and grew up in Harare. She moved to Nottingham, England at the age of 16.

In 2000, a then-14-year-old Garise joined her first beauty pageant, Miss Hartzell High School, which became her first crown. Later that year, she was also crowned Miss Lucky-7, a pageant run by one of Zimbabwe's chain stores. The previous and first winner of this pageant had been Zimbabwe's first International Beauty pageant title winner, Brita Maseluthini. In 2002, Garise moved to Nottingham, England to join her parents and also pursue her modeling career. Garise introduced herself with a crown debute of Miss Afro Caribbean UK 2004. She contested in various pageants successfully gaining exposure through competing in Miss Zimbabwe-U.K 2005 which gave her the opportunity to enter the international pageant scene. Model of the Universe 2005 and Miss Bikini World 2005 gave the beauty great experience and confidence which came to great use. Her career highlight came when she won the Miss Global International 2006 Pageant, formerly known as Miss Common Wealth pageant. She is the inaugural Miss Global International and is celebrated as Zimbabwe's second International title holder after Brita Maseluthini.

Garise has since the launched a modeling agency called 3D Model Management
