Michael Simms (software developer)
Michael Simms is the creator of the Tux Games website and the founder of Linux Game Publishing. In response to being unable to order a version of Loki Software's port of Civilization: Call to Power from any British reseller, Michael created the Tux Games website, an on-line Linux games store. The website went on-line ten seconds after midnight on January 1, 2000, selling its first title on January 3. In response to Loki's demise and the effect it would have on Tux Games, Linux Game Publishing was founded on October 15, 2001 to port and publish new games for Linux. Michael Simms remains the CEO and is also the Head of Development.
