Quote Roller

Quote Roller is a software as a service that helps to create, send and track business proposals online with built-in analytics and electronic signatures.

History

The beta version of Quote Roller was introduced on March 18, 2011. The application was developed by a small team of 5 people from Belarus, including its founders Serge Barysiuk and Mikita Mikado. As of May 1, 2013, the application has more than 25,000 subscribers.

On May 9, 2013, Quote Roller announced a $655,000 seed-funding round led by Kima Ventures, Altair Capital and several angel investors to support its expansion to the United States.

Technical details

The service is based on a SaaS (Software as a Service) model and requires no third-party components or installation on end-users’ computers. A modern web browser and Internet access are the two key requirements of the service.

Quote Roller was built using the Django framework and the Python programming language. The application is currently hosted in the RackSpace cloud. On November 15, the company released a free iPhone application for Quote Roller (currently available in the App Store). From now on, users can manage their proposals on the go and stay in touch with current and prospective clients.

Quote Roller has been presented at large international events, such as The Pitch Event 2011 in San-Francisco and Startup Week 2011 in Vienna, Austria where it got the top 10 finalists. At IDCEE competition in Kiev on October 25th Quote Roller took the second place In December 2012 Quote Roller won People’s Choice Award at Best of the Year Startup Award 2012 in Moscow, Russia In terms of media coverage, the service has been featured in the following online media:
