Paul Cooijmans is a Dutch musician, writer and researcher. In 1982 he founded a rock band, named after a TV show called Catweazle. Since then he has composed songs for and played guitar in it. In 1986 he started to play jazz and classical music. From 1990 to 2000 he gave guitar lessons. In 1992 Paul Cooijmans made what is probably his major achievement in science and one of his most original IDeaS. He discovered 96 chords that have never yet sounded. This innovative work, however, remains little comprehended by musicians. Besides this treatise in music theory, he has published dozens of compositions for various casts up to symphony orchestra. He has given several newspaper InterViews and made two TV performances as guitarist playing his own compositions.

Paul Cooijmans has been writing since 1981, mostly tales in Dutch. In the 1990s he was awarded a literature prize. A book with his stories was published but it was a commercial failure. The tales are now available online to download.

In the mid-1990s Paul Cooijmans started designing tests to find out to what extend intelligence could be measured beyond the valid ceilings of the tests regularly used by psychologists. He created the world's hardest IQ tests. They attracted over 2000 candidates around the world. The success allowed him to publish the tests, together with statistical reports and related articles, in IQ journals. He introduced to Europe the concepts of high-range IQ test and higher-IQ society. He founded Giga Society in 1997. In the following year he founded Glia Society. His societies totalize over 300 members. Since 2002 he has been programming, specifically for automated test scoring and processing of statistical data. Related fields of his interest are Asperger Syndrome, genius, personality and early memories.
