Pupil Tree

Pupil Tree is a chain of educational institutions in Karnataka, India. It runs schools up to pre-university (PU) level, preparatory schools, and daycare centres. It was set up in 2001. It is promoted by Future Tree Learning Services (FTLS), a member of Future Tree Holdings, a USD 500 million company based in Singapore .

At present, there are over 1500 students enrolled in Pupil Tree Schools. The schools are located in Bangalore, Belgaum, Hubli, and Bellary.

Other Initiatives – Booky Bob

Booky Bob, described as an “interactive reading hub” , is the latest venture of Future Tree Learning Services. It is currently located at the Pupil Tree School in JP Nagar 2nd Phase, Bangalore. It was inaugurated on Children’s Day, i.e. 14 November 2008, by Mrs. B. Jayashree, the well-known theatre and literary personality , in Bangalore. According to the website www.bangalore.citizenmatters.in, Booky Bob also organizes weekend activities such as “an essay writing competition for children on the occasion of 'Gandhi Jayanthi', Rangoli on the occasion of 'Dasara' and Halloweens party for Halloweens day celebrations”.

FUTURE PLANS

Pupil Tree plans to invest Rs. 100 crore on day care centres and schools in Bangalore by the end of 2009 , and open 60 pre-schools and 10 international schools across south India by 2010 .
