Puneet Gautam
Puneet Gautam is a talented Producer - Director who has had many years of television experience. He did not have any formal education in television but learned his craft with BiTV, an organization that belonged to Ashok Advani of the Business India group. The Channel, which was meant to be India's first business channel, failed to really take-off despite some great programming.
Puneet joined NDTV after his stint at BiTV and worked at NDTV as a camera person for AbOUT a year. He then started freelancing, mainly for sports, especially covering live cricket. Puneet became the first Indian (and arguably one of the best in the world) to work on a camera position called 'Super-Slo-Mo' This is the camera that catches the ball in extreme close-up to look at seam-position, Nicks from Batsmen, etc. This new Camera angle changed the face of Cricket Coverage around the World. Puneet covered three Cricket World Cups and numerous other cricket tournaments around the World before he decided to move on.
Puneet then started working as Producer/Director for various projects and has among others Directed series like The INDIAN Version of Deal or No Deal, called Deal Ya No Deal with Madhavan as the anchor, and Cricket Star, a series to unearth talent from around the country.
Puneet now runs a television company called Dreamcatchers Films with his brother-partner Amitabh and together they have produced a few shows for NDTV Good Times. They also continue to produce sports shows and programming for various other channels.
