Princess Antoinette Leonilla Josephine (1865–1904)
Princess Antoinette Leonilla Josephine (February 4, 1865 - November 3, 1904) was the child of Prince Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and his wife, Princess Antoinette of Sayn. She was born at Baden. Antoinette was named after her mother, her maternal grandmother and her paternal grandmother. She grew up in a vivid culture. Her father, Prince Anton simply adored her. After her father died in battle, Princess Josephine of Baden (Her paternal grandmother) took custody of her, making it complicated for her mother to spend time with her. This enranged both her mother and her maternal grandmother (The Famous Princess Leonilla Baryatinskaya). Princess Antoinette's mother soon, married Prince Friedrich Christian Karl August, the grandson of Princess Louise Auguste of Denmark by her third child, Prince Frederik Emil August. Antoinette grew very close to her stepfather who, spoiled her. In her teens, Antoinette became a wide beauty often, taking part in court. The death of her stepfather upset her. She wrote of him in her diary entries as A pleasure to the family. During springtime, Antoinette came to Baden to visit her paternal grandmother whom, she grew fond of. They both shared an interest baking sweets and cakes. During her visit to Sweden, Antoinette fell in love with Prince Carl, Duke of Västergötland. Her uncles, Carol and Leopold disagreed with this saying, that Sweden had strict power that could harm Antoinette. Prince Carl proposed to her with a diamond ring in 1884 in an Italian restaurant but, she refused. Knowing, that it was wise to follow her uncles commands. Antoinette later married Prince Patrick of Leiningen, the son of Prince Leopold of Leinigen & his wife, Patricia Paleigv. Patrick's father, Prince Leopold played the piano at their wedding. Victoria, Princess Royal was Antoinette's godparent. They were very close to each other. Patrick and Antoinette had a lovely, successful marriage. The couple had one child:

Although Antoinette was a bit afraid of entering a new kingdom, she grew to like Leiningen. She was loved by many people. She died, fainting in her room. She was buried at The Royal Cemetery of Leiningen. Carved on her tombstone Our favorable princess.
