Caravan of Thieves (band)

Caravan of Thieves is a gypsy jazz/rock band based in Bridgeport, CT. Their music is largely inspired by early gypsy jazz and swing music to which they add their own unique lyrical and MusicAL twists. As an exception to more traditional rock groups, Caravan of Thieves boasts strong violin, upright bass, and double-bass guitar arrangements.

Band Members

The original founders of Caravan of Thieves are Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni, who recruited Brian Anderson (bassist) and Ben Dean (violinist). Fuzz previously spend 13 years playing with groups like Deep Banana Blackout and Tom Tom Club and teamed up with wife, Carrie, to realize their musical dreams with Caravan of Thieves. Before joining Caravan of Thieves, Brian Anderson played bass guitar for experimental jazz trio Raisin Hill and Ben Dean studied classical jazz and violin, performing with various orchestras around Connecticut.
