Prevail (brand)
Prevail is an American brand of adult incontinence and protective hygiene products owned by First Quality Products, which is a top American manufacturer of adult diapers. The brand includes disposable absorbent incontinence products such as protective underwear, briefs, bladder control pads, underpads, liners, guards, and adult washcloths.
Background
Prevail is associated with First Quality’s adult incontinence product business, and was registered as a trademark to First Quality Products, Inc., on July 29, 2004, and registered on July 13, 2005.
The brand began selling incontinence products soon after in competition with Depend.
Product Development
Prevail sells products manufactured by First Quality for the purposes of living with incontinence. Due to increasing number of people with incontinence desiring home care, Prevail began modifying their products to better suit that environment, as opposed to the constant supervision of nursing homes. This also led to publishing several caregiver guides, in particular Caring with Dignity: A Caregivers Guide To Incontinence.
Due to this shift in location, their products (such as the Per-Fit Protective Underwear) have shifted to use various First Quality patents to lessen the likelihood of rashes and leakage in home patients.
Manufacturing and Innovation
Prevail products are manufactured by First Quality in Pennsylvania.
