Philip Hurst

 

Philip Hurst is a Musical Theatre Performer and composer having worked alongside influential directors, most recently starring in Rent (musical) directed by Peter Polycarpou. Philip is also a Director at Camberley Theatre working alongside Ed Simpson to expand the Camberley Youth Theatre.

Early life

Philip was born in Sandhurst,(famous for it Royal Military Academy Sandhurst)and attended Sandhurst school whilst training with Peer Productions before leaving school and atending The Sixth Form College, Farnborough to study Dance, Music, Music Tech, Theatre and Performing Arts. Here he had the opportunity to work alongside one of his most influential actors, Alexander Beeson. He finished here in 2009 and has since worked as a freelance Musical Theatre Performer.

Career

Currently touring and working on a contract for a New Musical he is writing which will be premiered in in london Jan 2010. He then will be training for 3 years to complete a BA in Musical Theatre before continuing his career. Hes recently been recording a cover of the The Killers track 'All these things that ive done' at Abbey Road Studios in london.

Personal life

Musical composition and performing very much fufill his personal life and spending time at the white bear with Derek Goldby reviewing contemporary theatre. He also enjoys Kayaking, Cooking, Photography playing Bass guitar in a Pop band named Blue~Limit and various other activities, these vary as he will participate in different activities when preparing characters. He loves to spend time with his long term boyfriend Samuel Toye.
