Pankaj Yadav

Pankaj Pratap Yadav (born 10 December 1986) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer Editor and visual effects supervisor. he began his career as an VFX artist, he worked as Roto artist in Red Chillies VFX company founded by Shahrukh Khan, After that he worked for Mike Pandey. In direction he started his career as an independent filmmaker with films employing Nonlinear narrative. his first film as director is Short Film "The End" and second Short film is A Classic Story.

Early life

Pankaj Yadav was born in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, where his father worked in state Government office. He grew up in fatehgarh and did his early schooling in in fatehgarh.

He was fascinated with films right from childhood, and even at age ten, would watch Hindi films like Kora Kagaz and Aandhi at a nearby open-air theater. Due to his desire to become a filmmaker, he went to Delhi for his higher studies and enrolled himself into an animation & VFX course at Arena Animation after that become VFX artist.

Career

After working in Red Chillies VFX and for Mike Pandey he quits his job for doing something with films. The film El Mariachi by Robert Rodriguez made a deep impact on Pankaj, after seeing and reading Robert Rodriguez's Rebel Without a Crew he wanted to do something with films. so he opens a production house Gullak Films with his friend and like minded peoples and make Short film "The End",This short film attracted enough attention to encourage him to seriously attempt a career as a filmmaker, so He went on to make his second short film A Classic Story in year 2011. he is make this film completely in Rebel Without a Crew way. now he is planing his first feature film, which is a sci-fi film, with Nonlinear narrative.

He is also Producer / Editor of Short Film Aisa Hota Hai the film got selected in many prestigious film festival like Fribourg International Film Festival, New Jersey Independent South Asian Cine Fest,Indian Film Festival Stuttgart,Festival of Nations Film Festival AUSTRIA and many other film festivals around the world.

Pankaj comes from a very small town in Uttar Pradesh, not much known AbOUT his personal life.
