Open Doors Winterthur

Open Doors Winterthur is an artist supported event for artists with art studios in Winterthur, Switzerland. The platform bridges art with the community by providing artists with a means to independently promote their art through web and printed media platforms. Open Doors takes place annually during the last weekend of September. Collective open studio|open art studios can be found in most major cities. Where local artists open their studios to the public oftentimes showing their work process.

Open Doors Winterthur was founded in 2008 by Michelle Bird, artist And Co-author of "Closed Curtains lives of de Wallen". Michelle Bird together with artist and author Christina Krusi "Das Paradies war meine Hölle" initiated the publication of MAP Magazine Artist Professionals which supports the open art studios event, features articles about local art initiatives and profiles local artists in their art studios.
