Ohio Sky Marshals FC

Ohio Sky Marshals FC is a soccer club that competes in the Indoor A League of Salem, Ohio. Ohio Sky Marshals originated in East Palestine, Ohio. The team name is better known as OSM. OSM was founded by Eva Manner in March 2007. OSM competes in Outdoor and Indoor soccer games at their home field of Salem CC, which is located in Salem, Ohio.

In The Beginning

OSM begain their first season in March 2007, having a total of 7 games and a record of 6 wins and 1 lost. OSM was recognized as the #2 best team of the season, falling short behind Heartland. With OSM finishing second in the 2007 season, OSM was moved up from Indoor B league to the Indoor a league the following year. In the 2008 season of OSM. OSM was placed in Indoor A league with games and tournaments acting as a counter-part toward the team. The Ohio Sky Marshals finished the season with a record of 9 wins and 2 losses. From then on, OSM has been competing in the Indoor A league along side the Keystone Stodard.

OSM league is built every year from 2007 on March and carries through until the end of April.

Home Field

OSM plays at their home field of Salem CC, which is located in Salem, Ohio, on 1098 North Ellsworth Avenue. Salem CC has a capacity of 900 spectators with a staff of 30. Salem CC is also shared between darby team Heartland and Keytone Stodard. Both teams compete in the Indoor A League along side of OSM. Darby matches against Keystone Stodard and OSM can reach a max-out in capacity within the spectators.

Darby matches take place every year between the three teams of OSM, Heartland and Keystone Stodard.

2007 and 2008 Season

In 2007 and 2008 season of OSM. OSM was able to make a remarkable break through during the season, with former OSM foward, Austin Pence, being nominated the Top Forward Player. At the end of the 2007 and 2008 season, OSM players Gabriel Manner and Zach Mills were also nominated for specific awards. Gabriel Manner, earning the Top Defensive Player Award and with Zach Mills earning Top Keeper Award.

The fall of the 2008 season was a turning point to the Ohio Sky Marshals as the withdrawment of players leaving the OSM and heading to different clubs. Although the lost of a few field-man, OSM has recruited young new athletes such as Curtis Mackell, Jake Guzzetti and Mark Harris for the start of the 2009 season.
