Ohana Real Estate Investors (OREI) is an investment and oversight group funded by Pierre Omidyar, the Founder and Chairman of eBay. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, the entity’s stated mission is to achieve returns through the development and ownership of luxury hospitality assets and to make strategic hospitality related acquisitions.
To that end, the group’s portfolio includes the following luxury properties in North America:
- Hanalei Plantation Resort
In February 2013, the company sold one of its assets, Bacara Resort, to the Pacific Hospitality Group. It first purchased the property in September 2011.
In June 2013, the company sold another of its assets, the Aliso Creek Inn, to Laguna Beach Golf & Bungalow Village. It first purchased the property in 2004.
In addition to its headquarters in Redwood City, California, the company also has offices in San Diego, California and Oahu, Hawaii.
