Oakwood Asia Pacific is a division of Oakwood Worldwide, and manages apartments in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippinesand Thailand. Oakwood Asia Pacific operates Oakwood Premier, Oakwood Residence, Oakwood Apartments with Oakwood Premier Resorts and Oakwood Resorts.
History
Oakwood Asia Pacific is a joint venture between Oakwood Worldwide and Colony Capital, an international real estate investment fund. It has been running for nearly 50 years.
Historic Highlights of Oakwood Worldwide
- 1960 Oakwood's founders create Bay Village Apartments.
- Mid-1970s Oakwood expands into new areas of business, including real estate fee management and home services.
- 1980s Oakwood properties continue to emerge in dozens of cities.
- 1995 Oakwood Asia Pacific is founded, opening the door for the development of Oakwood properties in China, Japan, and Thailand.
- 2000s Oakwood expands its presence in Asia, opening additional buildings in China, Japan and Thailand and breaking ground on its first properties in India, Indonesia and Korea.
- 2007 Oakwood launches Oakwood Worldwide Alliance Network with Alliance partners extending Oakwood's inventory and global availability through its network.
