The MTX Audio JackHammer T9922 is a 22" Subwoofer designed and created by the MTX Audio corporation.
The JackHammer is one of the largest subwoofers ever created for automobile applications. The JackHammer stands in at 23â tall, 22" in diameter, weighs 167 kg (369 lb), and can handle up to 12,000 watts of power with a 6,000 watts RMS rating. Due to the large size and large price of the Jackhammer, its main draw is more that of bragging rights than practical consumer use.
It would take around 4 MTX Thunder 92001 amplifiers to run the Jackhammer in 2 ohms at 2,000 watts per amplifier.
The JackHammer was used on two occasions on the hit MTV show, Pimp My Ride.
