Moxie Software is a software platform company founded in 2006 by Steve Papermaster, originally under the name nGenera Corporation. (The company changed its name from nGenera to Moxie Software in 2010.) The senior management team contains published thought leaders such as Don Tapscott (author of Wikinomics and Macrowikinomics) and Tamara J. Erickson (author of Plugged In). Moxie Software has offices in the US, Canada, the UK, India, Germany, and Australia. Moxie Software specializes in Enterprise Social Software for both employee collaboration and customer engagement.

In March 2010, nGenera (now Moxie Software) was named one of the Top 10 Venture Funded Companies by the Wall Street Journal.

In June 2010, the company released its Enterprise Collaboration software, Spaces by nGenera™.

In September 2010, nGenera changed its name to "Moxie Software".

In September 2010, Moxie Software's Employee Engagement Spaces was named a "Trend-Setting Product of 2010" by KMWorld.
