Creatify AI is a Mountain View-based marketing tech company launched in 2023. It built an AI platform that takes a product link or simple description and turns it into ready-to-post video ads for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. Everything runs on generative AI, so anyone can create short promo clips quickly without hiring video crews or agencies.

History

Creatify was founded in 2023 by three technology veterans with experience at Meta, Snap, Airbnb, and Microsoft: Yinan Na (CEO), who previously worked on Meta's Feed Ads team; Ledell Wu (Chief Scientist), an AI researcher formerly with Meta AI; and Xin Zhou (CTO), a former engineering manager at Meta and Airbnb.

Within 18 months of its launch, the company reported surpassing of $9 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). In May 2025, Creatify announced it had raised 15.5 million in Series A funding, bringing its total funding to $23 million. The round was co-led by WndrCo (led by former DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg) and Kindred Ventures, with participation from Millennium New Horizons, Creator Ventures, and Leadout Capital.

Later, Jeffrey Katzenberg joined the company's board of directors. In August 2025, Creatify had acquired the Australian martech firm Gala Labs, creators of "Peggy" (a Slack-based AI tool for analyzing ad performance and competitor research).

Technology and features

Startupers designed the platform to automate the whole video ad lifecycle, from scriptwriting to final editing. Its core technology stack leverages large language models (LLMs) for script generation and proprietary computer vision models for visual assembly.

  • URL-to-Video Generator: This flagship feature allows users to input a product URL (e.g., from Shopify or Amazon). The AI then extracts product data, generates a conversion-focused script, selects background visuals, and applies voiceovers.
  • AI Avatars: Creatify provides a library of over 1500 lifelike digital avatars that act as presenters. These avatars support more than 75 languages and 140 NATURAL-sounding voices, allowing brands to localize content for global markets without traditional production costs.
  • AdMax: Launched in 2025, AdMax is described as an "agentic AI" strategist. It provides competitive intelligence by monitoring top-performing social media ads and automates A/B testing to identify high-performing creative variations.
  • Aurora: Proprietary model that enables marketers to generate dozens of unique video variations simultaneously for rapid testing and optimization and has been adopted by Elevenlabs and fal.ai.

Market position and impact

The crew is holding its own in the red ocean of AI video tools, going up against names like HeyGen, Synthesia, and AdCreative.ai.

Several major brands and agencies use the platform, including Alibaba.com, Comcast, Binance, NewsBreak, and Zumper. Zumper reported saving $20,000 per month by producing over 300 videos using Creatify.

Beyond commercial use, Creatify's technology has been utilized in academic research in 2025. Researchers at the University of Tennessee used the platform to create an avatar chatbot designed to help students practice Spanish oral skills called Slabot.
