The MMICC (McGill Management International Case Competition) is an international business case competition hosted by the Desautels Faculty of Management of University. The event welcomes undergraduate students in Management or Business education from universities across the world. The MMICC is the only international and undergraduate case competition in the province of Quebec.
Since its foundation, the competition has welcomed such schools as the London School of Economics, the Wharton School, the University of Southern California, the Copenhagen Business School, and schools from Hong Kong and Singapore.
Teams are given 24 hours to solve and present a multi-disciplinary case. Presentations are judged by a panel composed of 12 company representatives from a variety of fields. The competition is held over a duration of 5 days. The schedule traditionally comprises social, networking, tourism and educational activities. Participation at the MMICC is by invitation only.
The MMICC has been held on a yearly basis since 2001 and is entirely student-run. The organization relies on support from University as well as corporate, private and other academic sponsors. The competition has been title-sponsored by HSBC Bank Canada since 2006.
