Mike Paolicelli
Mike Paolicelli is the Founder and President of Godfactor, Inc. (www.Godfactor.com), a non-profit organization he founded in 2004, with a global vision to train leaders and help people discover and experience God. An American pastor, church leader, and writer, he is a revival historian with a reputation as a communicator whose sermons and writings are biblically centered, and culturally relevant, with a high emphasis on application. He is the founding pastor of Renew Church, in Charlotte, North Carolina (launched in April, 2009). Paolicelli continued ministry after being diagnosed with Lymphoma in January, 2009. He began preaching on a train station platform in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1987, after a season of what he describes as "deep, personal brokenness and calling out to God." He attributes many of the most poignant life lessons he's learned to personal failure, deep trauma, and spiritual awakenings in the South Pacific experienced in 1996 and 1998. He was ordained into the ministry in 1996, and was, that same year, the Recipient of Multnomah Seminary's B.B. Sutcliffe Expository Preaching Award (www.Multnomah.edu). He is also a graduate of Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) and Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL). He is married, with two children.
In 1996, he was interviewed by Wheaton's Billy Graham Center on the aspects of the spiritual awakenings that were happening on college and seminary campuses that year, including his school, Multnomah Bible College and Seminary. The audio interview is on file with the Billy Graham Center in Wheaton, Il. Also, in the same year, he visited the South Pacific Solomon Islands, where he claims he experienced God in outpourings similar to what he had read in his revival studies. He credits the Solomon Islands' awakenings he experienced, in 1996, and similar awakenings, when he returned, in 1998, with Laying the most significant groundwork for his philosophy of ministry, which emphasizes unity and unconditional to God.
In 2008, Paolicelli founded the Charlotte Musicians Network (www.CharlotteJam.com), whose purpose is to network and encourage musicians and music industry people and resources.
In 2009, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease (Lymphoma). He is officially in remission, and continues to preach, write and train leaders.
His personal web site is www.CourageMatters.com, and his personal motto is "Life is too short to pursue anything less than your passion."
