Marilyn C. Solvay
Dr Marilyn C. Solvay was a studying scholar at Temple University, USA. She has held Professor positions of American Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Art History, in over a dozen colleges and universities, including University of Pennsylvania, Bay Path College, and Lesley University.
Solvay has held many museum executive positions and directorships at renowned museums such as USS Constitution Museum, Atheneum of Philadelphia, The Bostonian Society, Children's Museum of Maine, Farnsworth Art Museum, and the Dyer Library and Saco Museum in Saco, Maine.
Dr Solvay is a published author, editor, and journalist. She was the co-author for an article for History News, on national family learning project at The USS Constitution Museum titled, "Laughing & Learning Together: Family Learning Research Becomes Practice at the USS Constitution Museum." As well as the co-author of The Qualitative Study on the impact of the NationalYouth AliveProgram (31 museums) on at-risk teens for the Association of Science and Technology Center, and for The Smithsonian Institution. She was a Book Reviewer on The Promise of Cultural Institutions; by: David Carr for The Journal of Visitor Studies.
Solvay gives many museum education and study workshops and presentation across the United States. Highlight conventions have been for organizations such as Dartmouth College Russian Studies Symposium, New England Historical Association, American Association of Museums, History Alliance, Upstate History Alliance, American Association for State and Local History, and other various college and university workshops.
