Luna's Business Model
Luna has developed a unique business model, partly on which the company owes its continuous growth. Their model is based on individual stores that sell the Luna brand. A matrix of individual and privately held stores is a preferred way of the company's market exposure, in the home country and on foreign markets. These stores are then given special incentives for expanding on the business on their respectful markets. Although the model was criticized by some business schools for loosing touch with the values of the brand, the company employed techniques for preventing it, like partial control on the marketing management within the different markets, while keeping the flexibility that the model provides for various accounts.
