Keith Wilson (writer, musician, broadcaster)

Keith Wilson (b. 18 October 1958, in Liverpool) is an English writer, musician and performance poet.

He signed his first recording contract aged 17, while still an apprentice electrician at Cammell Laird Shipbuilders in Birkenhead. He has toured extensively since, as a band member and solo performer, most recently with his own band, the Methylated Spiritualists, and their eclectic and humourous poetry/rock fusion.

He has made three short films for the cinema and written several stage plays - the most notable being the highly-acclaimed Balls! which opened at the Royal Festival Hall in London as part of the opening celebrations for the Euro 96 Soccer Tournament.

In 2006/7 he co-presented the third series of the crime-busting MacIntyre's Big Sting with Donal MacIntyre for Channel Five.

He is well known in the UK for his irreverent sports poetry, having worked for Sky Sports and moving onto BBC Sport via ITV. He now has a weekly slot on Setanta Sports as a feature writer and presenter.
