The Logentries service was built on the technology stemming from this academic research. In October 2013, Logentries named Andrew Burton as CEO and President. At the same time, Logentries announced $10 million in Series-A funding from venture partners including Polaris Partners, Floodgate, Frontline Ventures and RRE Ventures.

The Logentries service provides real-time alerting through email, mobile devices and integrations with other platforms like PagerDuty and HipChat.

Logentries is compatible with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Heroku, Engine Yard Microsoft Windows Azure. The service also supports common programming frameworks and languages, including Ruby, Node, Java, .NET, and Python.
