Leon Saperstein

Leon Saperstein, born in Berkeley, California, March 2, 1972.

Professional Degree at USC (University of Southern California), in Architecture.

After 2 years in the Architectural profession, Leon moved to Paris, and changed his career goals to align with his childhood hobby as a photographer.

Opened his first photo studio in Paris, France in 1999.

Has worked for the international editions of some of the top fashion magazines, including: Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler, Cosmopolitan, Elle, l'Official, 125, ICON, Issue One, Profil, MR, MR Style, UNA, Baccarat, Cover, Lime, Clam, Nirvana, SCMP, and Vivre Zen.

Under the inspiration of Michel Blondeau and Paolo Roversi, Leon began studying the art of "Light-Painting". After 10 years, he has now become one of the few true masters of this technique, and maybe the only light-painter ever using high quality Fuji medium format film.

For pleasure, he is producing an extensive collection of art photos which have been exhibited in galleries in California, New York, Chicago, Japan, China, France, and Spain. He is currently looking for a publisher to produce his first book.

In 2009, Leon opened his second studio in Mid-town Manhattan, USA.

He has worked with and shot photos for clients such as: Baccarat, Bvlgari, Caudalie, Chanel, Charriol, Chopard, Christofle, Cimarron, Ekjo, Emmanuel Ungaro, Esthederm, Franck Provost, French Connection, Great Lengths, Hanae Mori, Hermès, Ken Okada, Lacoste, Marcel Marongiu, Mikimoto, Nina Ricci, Sonia Rykiel, Stephane Marais, Toni & Guy, and Versace.
