Lee McCormack
Lee McCormack is a former professional footballer having spent his entire playing career in the Singapore S League with Super Reds.
In the 101 appearances for the club Lee McCormack scored a total of 102 goals in all competitions, all with his cultured left peg.
Lee McCormack is most remembered for scoring an overhead kick from inside his own half in the S League match against Geylang United in front of 3,400 fans at the Yishun Stadium (home of Super Reds).
McCormack left Super Reds and retired from football due to a dispute with Head Coach Jeon Kyeong Joon.
Upon his retirement from playing, McCormack accepted a coaching role with the Tasmanian National Team. Despite having signed a 12 month contract, McCormack only lasted 1 week after being caught by the Tasmanian press violently assaulting a Tasmanian Devil.
The public forced McCormack to leave Tasmania.
Lee McCormack got the last laugh however after branding the Tasmanian Devil a "hideous looking creature, stating is resembled a cross between a giant rat and Kanu.
Lee McCormack is often found on a Saturday afternoon cheering on his beloved Gateshead FC or getting into a state of oblivion in the Pelaw Social Club.
Lee McCormack hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in December 2008, after he cancelled his 12 month contract with Mitre after being offered a lucrative deal with Puma, legal proceedings are still ongoing.
