KUL - Kumar Builders
Kumar Builders is now abbreviated as KUL (kumar Urban Development Limited). Kumar Builders is a real estate development and construction company focusing on residential and commercial development projects in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Panchgani and Nagpur.
Currently KUL is managed by Mr. Lalitkumar Jain, Chairman, Kumar Urban Development Limited and Vice president, Promoters and Builders Associations of Pune. The company was incorporated in 1993 and accordingly restructured the entities of the group in 2006. KUL’s expertise lies in the area of architecture, design, project planning & implementation, legal matters, procurement and marketing. KUL holds the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety management system standards with the scope of Design, Development, Construction and Marketing of Residential and Commercial Complexes. Kumar Urban Development Limited is the holding company with a number of project held in its subsidiary firms.
History
KUL was incorporated on May 25, 1993 by Mr. Lalit Kumar Jain. The company is an offshoot of the erstwhile Kumar Group, promoted by Mr. K.H. Oswal (father of Mr. Lalit Kumar Jain) in 1966 for carrying out real estate and construction business. The name of the company was subsequently changed to Kumar Urban Development Limited by a special resolution of the members passed at a general meeting of the Company on January 25, 2008. The fresh certificate of incorporation consequent upon the change of name was granted on February 7, 2008 by the Registrar of Companies, Pune.
Recent Activities
KUL has acquired majority interests in certain entities forming part of their group. They started their operations in Pune and gradually expanded to cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Panchgani and Nagpur. They have completed 2.94 million sq. ft. of developable area since 2006 including 11 residential which include one-redevelopment project and 7 commercial projects. They have announced 18 new redevelopment projects in Mumbai.
