Director of Film John Jorah Koster is the grandson of Solomon Alter who was involved in the Stecky II camera and Bitec Computers. John Jorah Koster was given a Paillard Bolex 8mm film camera at the age of seven by his Grandfather Solomon and made over 20 films beginning at age 8. As a college student, he studied abroad in Berlin and was an intern at an East German Newspaper. A German photo editor got Koster started taking photos for the Axel Springer Publishing House in Berlin, Germany.
John Koster finished a bachelor of arts in New York and was hired by Jeffrey L. Kimball as a camera apprentice (uncredited) on the MGM film "Windtalkers." Today he resides in the San Diego area and is directing.
Film Director John Koster won a Golden Drover for Best Thriller at the Trail Dance Film Festival in Duncan, Okla. Jan. 2007 for the film he wrote and directed called 'Yonderville.'

Yonderville
The film Yonderville2 was featured at the Trail Dance Film Festival3 starring, Ken Gregg, Tamela Turtle4, Jeremy Hust and guest Juan Rivera5. "Yonderville" received two awards called "Golden Drovers" at the Trail Dance Film Festival.
