John A. Hicks

Sir John A. Hicks (May 30, 1956 – ) is one of the most important and influential economists and investment bankers of the twentieth century.

  • He was born in 1956 at Romford, England.
  • He was educated at University of London (1996-98) and at Anglia Polytechnic University, Cambridge (2000-02)and the Ashcroft International Business School financed by scholarships.
  • He was knighted in 2004.

Career

He spent the years from 1972 to 1974 as MA at Lloyds Bank Overseas Plc, then moved to NPI/Basle Investments 1973 to 1975. He spent time in International Investment Banking, Shipping, Aviation and I.T. industries before joining KOMOSJ and WHT-SwissRe.
