Jetix (Romania)

Jetix was a children's television programming brand owned by The Walt Disney Company broadcast in Romania by all major cable TV and DTH operators. The Romanian version of the channel was included in the list of channels of various Moldovan cable operators as well as in the basic package of the Serbian digital platform Digi TV. It was previously known as Fox Kids. This TV channel was available in Slovenia from 06:00-19:00 from a cable operator Telemach.

Disney rebrand

After Disney XD successfully launched on February 13, 2009 in the US, the Disney-ABC Television Group re-branded Jetix France to Disney XD on April 1, 2009 and it was expected to be rolled out to other European territories in 2009. On September 19, 2009, the Jetix channel in Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria was renamed to The Disney Channel, marking that channel's first introduction in these countries. The Bulgarian and Romanian versions of the Disney Channel are broadcast as a single video feed with two different audio channels for each language. on May 2010 Disney channel Romania was removed from Hot Bird satellite .Advertising is shown in Romanian and Bulgarian; the voices in the ads are only heard on the respective audio tracks. At the commercial break ident it shows just the Romanian word for "commercials":"RECLAME", unlike on the Central Europe version of Disney Channel, where it shows first:"REKLAMA", then"REKLÁM". Before rebranding, it was showing "RECLAME", then "РЕКЛАМА" on Jetix.
