IRCHighway
IRCHighway is a large IRC-network with around 10,000 users connected every day. The network consists of over 20 servers scattered all over the world. The network uses a modified version of the UltimateIRCD and the Anope services system.
History
IRCHighway was founded in 2000 as fxpers.net. The network was later re-named irc-chat and had at the time about 3000 users. Around February 2003 the network was once again renamed to IRCHighway after the split of around 1/3 of its servers. It gained the majority of its new userbase after DALNet experienced some extensive DDoS attacks and was offline for quite some time.
