Vision Statment

They exist to help you 'get in touch with God, others and your destiny', which is their vision.1 This is in accordance with Jesus’ command to love God with all our hearts, mind, soul, strength and others as ourselves. (Mk 12:30-31) They want to do this in the most simplistic and realistic way possible. They believe in being spiritually natural and naturally spiritual.

History

ICC was founded by Pastor Ravi Chandran and his wife Lillian Leow Mui Choo in July 2002. There was a need to form an interdenominational English language church in Copenhagen city at that time and ICC became the first of its kind. From about 60 people in the first meeting, the congregation has well over 120 regulars with hundreds passing through a transitional period due to work and education. Ravi and Lillian are born in Singapore and have served as missionaries for more then 23 years in Asia, Africa and Europe. Married in 1989, they have two boys, Prince and Josiah. Ravi is a graduate of Zoe University in USA with two Ph.D degrees: Theology and Christian counseling. Lillian is a graduate of Asia Theological Centre For Missions and Evangelism in Singapore with a Bachelors degree in Biblical studies and is a Masters Candidate. Ravi was converted from Hinduism to Christianity in 1983. Lillian was converted from Buddhism to Christianity in 1977. Ravi has served as missionary in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Philippines and Denmark besides travelling to 49 nations worldwide. Lillian has served as missionary in Singapore, East and West Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda and Denmark besides travelling to 47 nations worldwide. The couple met in Uganda 1988 and got married in Singapore 1989. Besides pastoring ICC, Ravi is also elected into the Integration Ministry as Vice Chairman of the Integration Council for Gentofte Kommune. He is also employed as Project Manager for Cross-Over, an HIV AIDS Counselling and Support Centre. The vision of the church is to help people get in touch with God others and their destiny. Facilities

ICC formerly held their services in an evening school named KKA. They remained there for two years, until the school had to be shut down. This threatened the existence of ICC, so they moved to a hotel named Richmond Hotel. They held their services there successfully for another two years. They had occasionally held their sermons in an old church named Bethesda. They had also held their sermons in a school named Gideon's school. Its headmaster, Ib Johansen, is also a member of ICC. He is the founder of the Children's Church. With rapidly growing popularity, ICC found themselves in need of a bigger facility. Thye signed a contract with Bethesda. ICC remained in Bethesda for approximately 1½ years, until ICC found favour with a church named Fredens Kirke. They had a more permanent location there and had more possibilities to use it. They currently use Fredens Kirke.

'Welcoming Package'

Whenever ICC has new-comers (which they do; every sermon), the ushers hand out a 'welcoming package'. The package contaians information such as history of the church, special happenings etc. It also contains a magnet and pen with the church's logo on it. Additionally, the package also contains a few DVDs that vary in topic. There is also a 'Guest Book': a leaflet in which you fill in information such as how you got to know the church, Why have you come ets. ICC will then send you more information about the church.
