Inside Messenger Bot
Inside Messenger is a chatterbot that works on Instant Messaging platforms, with which it is possible to converse with due to the implementation of Artificial Intelligence within its client program window.
The bot is created by web 2.0 innovation company InsideC InsideC. Inside Messenger won the best Britbot competiton in 2006.
Features
Inside Messenger has a young personality and is available 24/7 for people to talk to. It can converse with a user on an informal level and respond to input intelligently, as well as Providing a menu of options that allows a user to view various news sources, find flights, and buy products from Amazon. For Windows Live Messenger users, there is a feature which allows a secondary 'Interactive Window' to be opened and in which one can view YouTube videos or play a shooting game ('Tomato game')
The bot can be added to Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger platforms by adding 'chat@insidemessenger.com' to the contact list. A user then needs to initiate a conversation by typing text such as 'hi' or anything to that effect, and the bot will start to reply.
