How Windows became Popular
- REDIRECT Windows 3.0
In 1990, While working in EDP Client Services of the RCMP as a Consultant, I was given the task of evaluating a new software that might solve all of the memory problems of our current table top workstation computers throughout the force all accross the country. This would save the Force, the department, millions of dollars of swithching to a new operating system instead of the current DOS that we had. After 9 months of study, I then made a presentation to the board of directors, and WINDOWS 3.0 became the new standard all accross canada within this department. Later all other government departments also adopted windows 3.0 based on our reports of success. I was never given any recognition for this study as it was just part of my job as edp consultant for the force, but that's besides the point. Now I am retired , living in an All Seniors Care Home in Gatineau and I figured it was important to include this information along with the actual documents of the actual study. My name by the way is Denis McCool.
