HFSLIP
HFSLIP is an open source Hotfix and Service Pack slipstreaming utility designed to update Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP2, and 2003 SP1/SP2 installation sources. HFSLIP is one of the more technically difficult slipstreaming utilities available, but it is also more powerful and flexible than many of the alternatives while offering a greater degree of user control. In addition to hotfixes and service packs, HFSLIP can slipstream other Microsoft updates such as Internet Explorer, DirectX 9.0c, Windows Media Player, and Windows Media Codecs. It can also integrate third-party device driver updates, including the BTS Driverpacks 1.
HFSLIP slipstreams the binaries (individual files) of most service packs and individual hotfixes directly. This means that original files are replaced with the newer versions in the updates from the Microsoft Download Center. Some hotfixes are non-standard or require a special installation procedure; HFSLIP integrates these instead, placing them as they are in the SVCPACK folder, to be installed automatically near the end of Windows setup.
